Well I have ran across a styling gel that is not flammable and just may be fire resistant. I have just started my testing but so far the results are very good. It is L.A Looks mega hold (The green stuff). Although I kind of like the synged look this might be great news for The Big E :P

Fire resistant would be good! My hair always seems to get loose from my cap and I get fire haircuts all the time. I am goiing to check this stuff out! THANKS! many many many thanks!

I know a guy who aims tiny intense welding torches near posh wallpapered walls...his clients dont want their wall wrecked so he uses a substance that is applied to the vulnerable area and truth is, he welds, he tidys, he wipes and its not even browned slightly on the wall paperafterwards
im looking into the chemical standards guidelines and am waiting on a reply from them about toxicity but so far if ingested it wont kill you, if in contact with eyes scalp or skin it is 100% non-toxic too...so far so good but i'm after long term effect figures and facts before i reccommend it by name or supplier...till then, bandannas, dampened clothing and clear safety precautions all the way every time...we play with fire, we need to accept we will get burned and struck from time to time, but it neednt be too often and we can limit the situation with pre planning, good spotting and emergency equipment and proceedures all pre understood, and in our case even pre rehearsed as if a little play!! you know...hey Flamey...would you mind pretending to be on fire, then pretend you dont know youre on fire, then listen to my three second count so i can aim this fire blanket at you then smother you with it for at least 30 seconds????
God the spotters get all the good jobs! =)
